How to play Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow Poker is a relatively new game. It appeared at casinos ca. five years ago. In this game we use the standard 52-card deck and one Joker that substitutes an Ace or any other card in the poker hands order such as Royal Flush, Flush or Straight.
The goal
The goal of the game is to make two hands (out of seven cards received) that are better than the dealer's ones.
Rules
At the beginning of the game you need to pay the initial bet, by clicking on the token`s symbol and then on the round space in the middle of the table. Then the cards are being dealt out. The cards received should be divided into two hands. "Highest hand" consists of five cards, "second hand" - of two. In order to continue the game, the player`s five-card hand must be higher than the two-card one. Otherwise, it is a "dead hand". If both hands are bigger than the dealer`s ones, the player wins as of 1:1, but the bank charges 5% commission. If both "hands" loose, the value of the bet is lost. If only one of player`s hands wins, it is a tie and the sum is paid off. In case of the "copy hand" i.e. when the player and dealer have the same ranking hands, the dealer wins. Ranking of Poker Hands
- Five of a Kind - four cards of the same rank and a Joker, four Aces and a Joker is the highest hand,
- Royal Flush - five consecutive cards of the same suit from 10 to Ace,
- Straight Flush - five consecutive cards of the same suit, which does not include Aces,
- Four of a Kind - four cards of the same rank,
- Full House - three cards of the same rank plus a pair,
- Flush - five different cards of the same suit,
- Straight - five cards in sequence (of different suits),
- Three of a Kind - three cards of the same rank,
- Two Pair - two pairs of cards of the same ranks,
- One Pair - two cards of the same rank,
- High Card - five cards of different suits and ranks.
